Muckross Abbey
The restored ruins of this 15th century Muckross Abbey are on the grounds of the Killarney National Park.
This abbey was a Fransiscan friary.
The first version of this friary even dates back to the 5th century.
Photo shows a peculiar tree along the access path.

Ross Island
This week the Wild Garlic on Ross Island are in full flower.
Especially the area around Library's Point is one fabulous sea of flowers with its strong scent of onions.

Meeting of the Waters
The Meeting of the Waters is a walk along two of the Killarney lakes.
At one point these two lakes converge, giving this walk its name.
This week we did part of this walk.
