Bantry House, Bantry

Bantry House in county Cork is a private domain dating back to the 18th century with splendid views across Bantry Bay.
The House was bought in 1765 and subsequently enlarged by Richard White, the first Earl of Bantry.
The House has stayed within this family ever since.
From 1946 onwards House and Gardens are open to the public.

Healy Pass

De Healy Pass was built in 1847 to offer extra employment in the bad times during the Famine.
The pass connects the counties Kerry and Cork.
The top of this pass is the border between these 2 counties.
