Kenmare  ,    in   the   southwest   of   Ireland

Saturday 17 May we travelled from Whitepark Bay in the north, via Belfast, Dublin and Limerick to Kenmare in the southwest of Ireland.
These 600 kilometers took us 9.5 hours, 2 pretty long breaks included.
From Limerick up to Kenmare there are no dual-carriage ways anymore, so this part of the journey takes al lot of extra time because of the tractors and
other slow moving traffic.
Besides, every village is the proud owner of one of more sets of traffic-lights which are used abundantly, especially on Saturdays.

Arrived in Kenmare we drove straight to the "Rockcrest" bungalow, our home for the next 2 months.

First couple of days we spent walking through the woods at Ross Castle on Ross Island near Killarney.
During this time of the year these woods are "blooming" with Wild Garlic (Allium Ursinum) and Blue Bells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta).
